Evergreen’s Postpartum Care Center helps new parents bridge the gap between hospital and home – easily and safely.

When you leave the hospital, you will have an appointment scheduled at the Postpartum Care Center for when your baby is three to four days old. The nurse specialist will examine both baby and mother to make sure they are mending and thriving. If a problem is identified, the nurse specialist will contact your baby's care provider right away.

The Postpartum Care Center appointment is also an opportunity to ask the many questions that have cropped up since you took your baby home. After your visit, you'll be reassured that your baby is healthy and that you are on the mend.

Postpartum Care Center services are available to all families, whether they gave birth at Evergreen or elsewhere.  The visit’s fee is minimal, and may be covered by health insurance.
